Bring Back Christ!

Twas the month before Christmas
When all through our land,
Not a Christian was praying
Nor taking a stand.

See the PC Police had taken away,
The reason for Christmas - no one could say.
The children were told by their schools not to sing,
About Shepherds and Wise Men and Angels and things.

It might hurt people's feelings, the teachers would say
December 25th is just a ' Holiday '.
Yet the shoppers were ready with cash, checks and credit
Pushing folks down to the floor just to get it!

CDs from Madonna, an X BOX, an I-pod
Something was changing, something quite odd!
Retailers promoted Ramadan and Kwanzaa
In hopes to sell books by Franken & Fonda.

As Targets were hanging their trees upside down
At Lowe's the word Christmas - was no where to be found.
At K-Mart and Staples and Penny's and Sears
You won't hear the word Christmas; it won't touch your ears.

Inclusive, sensitive, Di-ver-is-ty
Are words that were used to intimidate me.
Now Daschle, Now Darden, Now Sharpton, Wolf Blitzen
On Boxer, on Rather, on Kerry, on Clinton !

At the top of the Senate, there arose such a clatter
To eliminate Jesus, in all public matter.
And we spoke not a word, as they took away our faith
Forbidden to speak of salvation and grace

The true Gift of Christmas was exchanged and discarded
The reason for the season, stopped before it started.
So as you celebrate 'Winter Break' under your 'Dream Tree'
Sipping your Starbucks, listen to me.

Choose your words carefully, choose what you say
Shout MERRY CHRISTMAS ,
Not Happy Holiday !*

Happy Holiday?



What happened to Merry Christmas? Why was CHRIST taken away from Christmas? Did I hear Ebenezer say, "Happy Holiday" after his nocturnal visits? Did I hear Santa exclaim ere he drove out of sight, "Happy Holiday to all and to all a good night"? Are pretty lights and presents all that is left of the time we set aside to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ? Every year the true meaning of Christmas seems more and more removed. References to Jesus Christ and God are being taken from us one at a time, either by retailers or the ACLU. This past Sunday's "Palm Beach Post" was stuffed with sales inserts. Let me quote a few phrases used as attention-getters::

Circuit City.............. "Gifts To Love"
Target......................"Our Lowest Holiday Prices"
K-Mart...................."Holiday Perfect Gifts For All"
Sears....................... "Great Gift Sale"
JC Penney.............. "Joy of Giving"
Lowes..................... "Let's Holiday"



I get more and more upset with this trend every year. 86% of all Americans, in a recent poll, said that they believe in God. Then why are the retailers eliminating reference to The Son Of God and turning CHRISTmas into a non-secular "Holiday"? Would you like to fight back? Would you like to tell the retailers what you think of this trend? Now we can!!!!

If the retailers insist on taking CHRIST out of CHRISTmas then lets take 86% of their business away! I've already joined the "Tossmas" movement by throwing away catalogs that have substituted Season or Holiday for CHRISTMAS!

For many of us, it may be too late for this year's shopping. That is why we must do the petition!!! Also......let's not forget during the next 10 or so months.
