It was a scary start for this little spirit but with the help of many prayers and our Heavenly Fathers hand, this little fighter went from intensive care to home in 11 days!
Even at 5 weeks she demanded respect!
Taking all of this world in with wide-eyed wonder, especially at Christmas.
Her smile and laughter bringing joy to all around.
Yet learning and expressing wonder in everything she saw.
At 6 months she was introduced to the beach by her "Surfer Girl" mother!
And Grandma Katie!
While Grandpa John & the Easter Bunny made sure she had a special 1st Easter basket.

In spring of 2009, Alayna got to show off for the camera at Temple Square.
A second trip to Florida, this time her Daddy got to go! Although it was hot, everyone loved Lion Country Safari.
While Grandpa John (determining that the Gerber teething biscuits were meant for dogs) introduced Alayna to Oreo's. One of life's pleasures.
It took 2 people to bathe her. Grandpa offered the use of his pressure washer but was declined.
These pictures, taken at Grandma Janese's home, are so cute that I cannot think of a way to describe them.
