The Cabin

On our second Friday in Utah, Jeff drove us up to the family cabin via Park City. The Yoho Family Cabin is up in the mountains near Heber, I'm guessing at around 8,000 ft.

The date stamp is wrong. We drove up on Friday, December 3rd and returned late afternoon on Saturday, December 4th.

Lots of deer and a few elk were sighted during the hour drive.

We arrived at the cabin around 2pm and Keith, Stacia and Emily joined us around 6:30pm

Kendra and I made treats for our stay.

Kendra & Jeff made Friday nights dinner. A hearty potato & ham soup in bread bowls with tossed salad!

After dinner we had an "Early Christmas" since we won't be able to be together at Christmas.

Then we watched some "Home Movies" that we had brought. Video of Keith & Kendra when they were little, and even some of Katie while she was pregnant.
Saturday morning, Katie & I did breakfast! Pancakes (plain, blueberry, chocolate chip & pecan) with bacon (regular & turkey), fresh fruit, juices & milk.
After a hearty breakfast, it was time to take Alayna out on the sleighs.
The scenery was fantastic!
Jeff & Alayna went out first to get the equipment from the garage.

Alayna was a little frightened at first..........

Until her daddy reassured her it was ok!
After that, we all had turns taking Alayna on a short ride.

But the best was Alayna and her daddy, especially when they brought out the old, steel runnered "Flexible Flyer".
Many of the best pictures were taken by Stacia.

Keith & Stacia provided lunch on Saturday with Keith preparing a pot of his famous chili!
A few hours later we headed back to town as tomorrow was to be the Grand Finale of our trip.
