Stacia hosted a small baby shower - a "SPRINKLE" - for Kendra. The guests were family only, but there was still a ton of food, fun, and girl talk!
Alayna started by just observing...
...moved on to helping...
...then got majorly involved in the gift-opening process!
Katie's gift to her daughter was a tie quilt, with teddy bears, crescent moons, stars, and the lyrics, "Would you like to swing on a star? Carry moonbeams home in a jar?"
Lois (Stacia's mom, who was here on the mainland from Laie, Hawaii) had been VERY busy sewing cool stuff for Kendra & baby! She'd made several useful baby items in a darling, pink-and-green Hawaiian print. (You can take the lady out of the Islands, but you can't take the Islands out of the lady!)
This is the reverse side of a car seat protector, which has multiple other uses - MULTIPLE!!!
A taggie for baby! She also received homemade shirt-type bibs, as well as many other baby items,
from Stacia and Larissa.
Nana Katie and her girl Emily Klemas!
Emily and her cousin Cassie, who had come up from Phoenix.
The ladies of the BABY SPRINKLE:
Front: Stacia, her sister Larissa & baby Cassie, Lois.
Back: Emily on Nana's lap, Alayna on mommy Kendra's lap.
Lois and grandaughter Cassie
Nana Katie & her two grandaughters (so far!),
Alayna and Emily.
This is FUN!!!
Alayna's reward for being an outstanding helper was a BOPPY PILLOW for her baby doll...
...and a CRAYON CADDY (both made by Lois in the same Hawaiian print).
Alayna used one of the vinyl bibs for a stripey skirt.
(She wore it that way during the rest of the "Sprinkle!")
AND A GOOD TIME WAS HAD BY ALL!!!
