I LOVE THIS BOOK!

Since I like to read and I listen to the Glenn Beck show from time to time, Katie brought home one of his books for me to read. "An Inconvenient Book" cuts through all the smoke & mirrors that the government tells us and the half truths of the media. The book covers many topics from Global Warming, Marriage, Radical Islam, & America's Oil Dependence to Illegal Immigration and Parenting. My Favorite chapter is entitled "The Weekend Movie Rental". In this chapter he talks about Bonnet Movies. Glenn describes Bonnet Movies as:

1) Any film based on the work of Jane Austen.

2) Generally, any movie featuring either Emma Thompson or Kate Winslet in a lead role.

3) Any movie that is muddy, pale, and difficult to understand.

4) Any movie that features horses, English manor houses, and/or effeminate men with fluffy collars.

Mr. Beck summed it up perfectly when he says "Bonnet Movies are about as sexy as gum disease". He calls them Bonnet Movies because "virtually everyone is inexplicably wearing a bonnet."
Glenn does a thorough job of explaining ways for us guys to get out of seeing them or taking our wife/date to see one in a movie theatre. He does stress, however, that budding relationships require that we see more of them than say, a couple married for over 5 years. For example:
Dating For 6 Months or Less = 5 Bonnet Movies for every one of "our" movies. Yes, this is HORRIBLE but "keep in mind you're still trying to convince her that you're a sweet, sensitive guy".
Engaged = 3 Bonnet Movies for each one of ours. "Still not great, but we're making progress. Remember, you're trying to get her to actually go through with the wedding at this point".
Married Less Than 5 Years = "You technically could eliminate Bonnet Movies altogether at this stage, but you don't want to make it look as if you changed the second you got married".
Married Over 5 Years = "No More Bonnet Movies!"
